Phoebe: We had Reptile Rally We learned about reptiles. We saw a bunch of things.

Hayden: I'm student of the week. When you are student of the week you read your favorite book. The class writes about you. You share your life.
Chloe: After we came back from P.E. we got to have otter pops. I got to have a green one. It was good. I have lots of otter pops at my house.
Mikayla: We read in our Basal Reader. It was about Dogs. We read about working dogs.
Noah: We got a 4 in P.E. In P.E. we played this baseball game. Mrs. Manglesdorf said to line up in a circle. It was fun.
Colton: At recess I play football. At recess I play tetherball. At recess I eat my snack.
Reis: We play at recess. We read at recess. We sit out at recess.
Jonathan: We chose desert animals. We chose three desert animals.
Zach: We are learning about the six main animal groups. The group we are in is mammals. One of the things you have to have is hair.
Ben: We make books and they get published. I made one of them. (You can read all the children's published books, poems, etc. on my website on The Writing Den link.)
Tiffany: We did a word sort. We sorted the words. They were long I words. We have fun in this class.
Caleb: Every day we have a mystery word. We have to read it. Then we feed it to the word muncher.
Alex: In math wer are learning about shapes. We describe shapes. We do lots of math.
Katarina: 18 people got to the 1,000 Club. I was the 18th person on the list. We get certificates.
Alicia: In music we used chalk boards. We used the chalk boards for patterns. It was fun.
Zachary: We did a word sort. It was a long I one. Some people didn't get done.
Lauren: In A.R. once you get to the first level we get an A.R. buddy. Once you get to honors you get a trophy. Once you get to 70 points you get to dance on the table. (Actually the children dance on the table when they become an Honors reader and when they get to 70 points and 100 points.)
Ethan: I got a new baby brother last week. We made cards for him. His name is Gregory.
Madeleine: Math was awesome. We do subtracting numbers. We do adding numbers like 1+9=10. It is good.
Branden: In math we had a place value test. The place value was easy. I like math.
Madison: In math we learned about shapes like a hexagon, pyramid, circle, and a polygon. I am in regrouping.
Breydan: We made a book about reptiles---like a snake. A turtle is another reptile.
