The Cubs' Future Jobs

I read the Dr. Seuss book, Maybe You Should Fly a Jet!  Maybe You Should be a Vet to the children.  I asked them to write down what they want to be when they grow up.  Some children wrote more than one job. We'll be making a class book out of their writing and illutstrations and then send it to be published.  Here are the future jobs of these wonderful children:
  • An Umbrella Maker
  • A Goalie on a Soccer Team
  • A Bosun
  • A Vet
  • A Football Player
  • An Art Teacher
  • An Artist (4 children chose this.)
  • A Dinosaur Maker
  • An Art Man
  • A Teacher
  • A Sculptor (2 children chose this.)
  • Work at a place called "Funny Things for Kids"
  • A Scientist
  • A Spy
  • A Scuba Diver
  • A Wii Game Designer
  • A Computer Person
  • A Spaceship Builder
  • An Alligator and Crocodile Keeper
  • A Consultant
  • A Singer

LOVE IS.......

I asked the children to finish this sentence:  Love is....
This is what Collin, Syd, Adam, Cristian H., Charlie, Shreya, Peyton, Claire,
Christian F., David, Mason, Hector, Jonas, Ryan, and Diego wrote.  (Many of the Cubs had the same ideas about what love is.  I will only write the idea once, but I'll put an asterisk after the word each time was written.

1,000 Club Members

The cubs started writing a number scroll on the 100th day of school.  These two cubs have already become members of the club!  Congratulations to them!

This cub has actually written
his numbers to 2,000!  Who knows
how long his scroll will be?
This cub is still adding to his number scroll, too.
