The Luckiest Things in Our Lives

Here is a list of the luckiest things that ever happened to the cubs in Bear Country:

• We went to the zoo.
• I asked if I could go to play at McDonald's in my pajamas and the answer was yes!
• I found a four leaf clover.
• I got to play in the snow.
• I got step-parents and step-brothers and a step-sister.

• I saw a four leaf clover at school.
• On Christmas I got an X-box.
• To have sisters
• I made a golf shot on my first shot.
• Nothing
• My mommy is having another baby.
• I went to Disneyland.
• I got to ride in a fire truck.
• Being born
• The tooth fairy gave me two dollar coins.
• Riding on a speed boat
• My birthday
• I got a hawk feather.
• I got roses from Nana.
• I got a big dinosaur tooth.
• My family
• I got a baby brother.
• Being a twin.

A Week of Celebrating

The cubs reached their 2 A.R. goals and three more cubs became Honors Readers.  One cub earned double the amount of points to get the trophy (70)We celebrated with them as they danced on the table.  We are encouraging the cubs who haven't become Honors Readers yet to keep reading and earn the special trophy. 

Pruzin's Cubs News for the Week of March 8th

The cubs LOVE to dance on the table. They do this when they reach certain A.R. levels as a celebration.

Jumana wrote: "We saw Chloe's Aunt. She was in Afghanistan. I think she likes it. We went to the spirit celebration." (The children have been writing letters and sending her cards since November.
They will continue to do this for the rest of the school year.
She was home on furlough and will be going back soon.
We hope she stays safe and thank her for serving our country.)

Breydan wrote: "Today we are going to make oobleck.
I got 30 A.R. points.

Zachary wrote: " I got 200 A.R. points. I have the 2nd most

points of all the first grade. I love A.R.!"

Alexis wrote: "We are making oobleck. We were at Art. We painted."

Madison wrote: "In Art we made a design on the painting. "

Noah wrote: "Today was the spirit celebration. Madison, Noah, Katarina, Colton and Tiffany got a trophy."

Meikelo wrote: "Today we are making oobleck. We are also working on our Dr. Seuss book."

Ethan wrote: "Yippeeee! We got a 4 in Art because we were big fat chit chatters!" (Next week they are going to try to get a 5 by cutting down on the chit-chat!)

Alicia wrote: "We made oobleck from one of the Dr. Seuss books. I liked the library because we got to hear the story about the Sneeches. It was funny."

Jonathan wrote: "We are going to make oobleck. We are learning about Dr. Seuss."

Reis wrote: "Today we are making oobleck. It will be green."

Mikayla wrote: "We are making oobleck. We went to the spirit celebration."

Katarina wrote: "We are doing oobleck today. I got my trophy today."

Phoebe wrote: "In Music we watched a movie. The movie was called Peter and the Wolf."

Chloe wrote: "In Art we had a paper and we had a Sharpie. We used it because my table had to do warm colors. I made a sun."

Branden wrote: "Today we're going to make oobleck. Yesterday we went to Art."

Tiffany wrote: "We are making oobleck. I got my trophy." (She danced the Irish Jig as she went out to get her trophy! :))

Ben wrote: "In Art we made lines over our paintings."

Zach wrote: "We are making oobleck. We did not have P.E."

Alex wrote: "In Art we made two things. In Art we painted."

Lauren wrote: "Today my mom came to help out. We just did a Math test."

Megan wrote: "Today we did the spirit celebration. Then we did our math test."

Madeleine wrote: "I love to write because it is awesome. P.E. is fun---even good."

Colton wrote: "At Music we had a substitute. At Music we got a 5."
