STUDENT POSTS

I have decided that my first grade students will be writing most of the posts on this blog. They will write or dictate sentences about what is happening in our classroom. This is a new adventure for me, so it will be a work in progress. I will continue to post the books/poems, etc. that the students write on my website in The Writing Den. You can read last year's students publications by clicking on the title of this post.

I Dreamed by Ray A. Lingfelter

I dreamed I stood in a studio
And watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was
A young child's mind,
And they fashioned it with care.

One was a teacher; the tools she used
Were books and music and art.
One was a parent with a guiding hand
And a gentle, loving heart.

Day after day, the teacher toiled
With a touch that was deft and sure,
