The Cubs Report for the Week of Sept. 7th

Christian wrote a book.  He read it to the class.  He got to wear the author
glasses (Cristian H.) 
I read a book to the kids.  Everybody clapped for me.  I liked it. (Christian F.)
This is what the children did in Art last week. 
(There wasn't Art this week because of the holiday.)
Math: At the calendar we sang the months of the year song because Mrs. Pruzin wants us to. (Spencer)
We did fun math.  We wrote a lot of numbers.  We did a great job! (Peyton)
Music: In music we played a game.  The game was The Old Gray Cat.  One person is the old gray cat and one person hides the mouse. (Michael)
Music is fun.  I did not be the old gray cat. (Mason)
In music I played The Old Gray Cat and it was fun.  I did get to be the old gray cat.  I found the mouse.  We played the hammer game.  We got a 4+. (Claire)

Language Arts: We did Mother Goose rhymes.  It was fun.  We have our Poetry Folder. (Charlie)
In self selected Reading we read with our reading buddies. (Megan)
In self selected reading we read to our reading buddies. I read at my desk. I read nursery rhymes and bear books. (Bethania)
In the Scholastic newspaper we read about the magic words. (Vincent)
We fed the word muncher a lot of words.  Mrs. Pruzin was the word muncher.  One day the word muncher's nose fell off! (Diego)
We watched a Mother Goose movie. (Hector)
At self selected reading we have animal reading buddies.  I have a dolphin. (Alexandra)
We had two more poems.  They were Mother Goose rhymes.  You get a sticker on your poem folder if you turn it in on time. (Jonas)
We colored our puppets and then we got a stick.  Then we taped it and then we did a puppet show. (Desirae)
In Spelling City we were spelling some words.  Sometimes they were hard and sometimes easy.  Spelling City is easy and the smartboard is the "teddy board". (Shreya)
We learned about big rigs.  The big rigs were awesome.  Big rigs are trucks. (Adam)
We made little puppets that were about the cat and the fiddle.  We got to color them. (Abby)
Gavin's Birthday: We ate cupcakes and I got seven bear hugs.  We played on the playground. (Gavin)
Gavin's birthday was perfect because we at cupcakes.  We played, too. (Amanda)
P.E.: P.E. was fun in the cafeteria on Thursday.  P.E. is cool.  Our teacher is Mr. Felix.  (David)  At P.E. we played Octopus. Later we went upstairs and we played Dinosaur.  Zero the Hero came out of his drawer. (Ed)
At P.E. we played games.  We played Octopus. (Adriana)
